What's Been Brewing Around The Studio

One thing I've learned about running a small creative business is that growth doesn't always look like a huge product launch. Often times, it looks like tiny improvements that most people would never notice...but I notice them.

Lately, that's exactly what life around OrgaNick has looked like. 

A few of my greeting cards recently received a little update with colored interiors that complement the artwork on the front! It's such a small detail, but I love how it makes opening a card feel just a little more special. Those are the kinds of thoughtful touches that make me excited to keep creating.

I've also had my sketchbook open more than my computer. As recently as yesterday, you've seen a growing collection of hand-drawn vegetables making their way across my desk. Tomatoes, carrots, eggplants... somehow they've become some of my favorite little illustrations. (I'm hoping they'll find their home as a collection of mini cards inspired by the charm of local farmers markets.)

Behind the scenes, the website is slowly getting some love too. I'm working through little updates that make shopping feel easier, and one project I'm especially excited about is adding a postcard collection to the shop. There's something timeless about sending a quick note through the mail, and I think postcards fit just right. I've always wanted to offer ALL of my card designs as postcards, but the more I think about it, that doesn't give the intention I want to have. 

There's a feeling and purpose behind a foldable card and a postcard for a reason. 

Outside of paper, I've been wanting to get back into another hobby that has quietly been part of this business from the beginning...guesses? COFFEE. WHERE HAS IT BEEN?

There's something about a slow morning with a fresh pour-over, a notebook nearby, and a blank sheet of paper that just feels right. I'm hoping to share more of that side of my life again, and to kick things off, I recently joined the Atlas Coffee Club. I'm excited to start exploring coffees from around the world and sharing a little of that journey here as well.

Who knows... maybe a few future card ideas will be inspired by a really good cup of coffee.
