The Stamp That Started A Branding Spiral
Share
It started with inconsistency.
For a while, getting an OrgaNick order in the mail was a bit of a mystery & not in a fun way, I must regrettably admit. Depending on when you ordered, you might get one type of envelope, or another, or something that technically held a card but didn't really say anything 'OrgaNick'. I was figuring it out, testing things & making do.
That's the part of running a small stationery business nobody really talks about. The product can be beautiful and the packaging can still be a work in progress. Both things are true at the same time.
But I'm fairly certain I've got it now 😁
(Brown kraft envelope. OrgaNick logo stamped right on the front in ink. And a do not bend sticker — (which is equal parts practical and a gentle word with my friends at the post office😝))
It sounds simple when I say it like that. And it is, now. But getting there required trying enough wrong versions to finally recognize the right one!
The stamp is what made it click. Because a stamp isn't a label you order in bulk and slap on. It's pressure and ink in a deliberate motion. Every mailer that goes out now has that mark on it — small, clean, intentional. And for the first time, the outside of the package actually matches the care that went into what's inside. That makes all the difference.
It's actually what I keep coming back to. A question of "What does OrgaNick feel like when it shows up at your door?" Not on a screen, not in a grid — but in your hands, on your counter, etc.
The packaging is the first impression. The stamp says someone made this. The do not bend sticker says someone meant this to arrive right.
That's the experience I want people to have. Not just a card in the mail, but a small event. Something that makes a Tuesday feel a little less ordinary.
One stamp. One kraft envelope. One passive-aggressive sticker. It may be a simple package, but its so purposeful.
Took me a while to get here & I couldn't be happier with where I am!
